After editing Sci Fi magazine for Sovereign Media, then moving on, I never dreamed I’d someday return to edit it for the Channel itself. But truth is indeed stranger than (science) fiction.
When I left Sovereign Media, relinquishing my role as editor of Sci Fi to take over as editor of Satellite ORBIT, I thought that was the end of my relationship with the magazine. But then I accepted the position with Syfy as the editor of Science Fiction Weekly, which eventually led to me editing Sci Fi once more, once the Channel decided it wanted more editorial control and brought the mag in-house.
I started up again with the February 2002 issue, and oversaw Sci FI until its April 2009 issue. Since then, I’ve been an Internet-only editor, most recently of Syfy’s Blastr.
