You helped me more fully understand mental telepathy because you described perfectly the experience my husband and I had just one week ago at lunch at Steireck. I only wish one of us had ordered tea because we saw carts go by with large potted plants and wondered why we hadn’t seen something like that at our table! I had the calves liver, a taste I can never fully describe but can remember so fully. My husband had a fish course that came to the table raw along with a pitcher of liquid. Turns out it was filled with hot beeswax that the waiter poured over the fish and let is sit for ten minutes creating a mold and then it was removed, prepared in the kitchen and returned for eating. I too could go on and on…..
Let me know what other extremely good eating experiences you have had. We live in Boston, spend summers in Maine and some of the winter in Florida’s Vero Beach at an amazing place called Windsor but we have little expectation that any of these places would produce something nearly the equivalent of lunch at Steireck.
